It is in marriage that secure and loving families get their start, and it has been such for thousands of generations. Marriage is based on trust, protection, hope, patience, kindness and humility. It is taking the best we have to give and offering it completely to another. It is now time for Erez and Leah to repeat their vows to each other.

MINISTER: God created us male and female for each other and established the covenant of marriage. From ancient writings, we read “it is not good for a man nor a woman to be alone.” Therefore, a man leaves his father and mother (a friend, things past) and embraces his wife. They become one flesh.

The Bible gives us in 1st Corinthians 13 a wonderful model of love for you to pursue in your marriage. “ 1If I speak in the tongues[1] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[2] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind.
